Dry-Me: Deceit by Perversion and Concealment

We take a close look at the Dry-Me bedwetting alarm which was recently launched by the Bedwetting Store. We are nit surprised by the volume of exaggeration and deceit in the product description as this is typical of the Bedwetting Store. There are several ridiculous claims, but then, this is expected from the Bedwetting Store. An unusually large number of facts have been hidden on the Bedwetting Store website about the Dry-Me bedwetting alarm and this has led us to raise a number of questions in our minds which we could not find answers to on the web site. Wh does the Bedwetting Store hide questions about Dry-Me?  “hiding” facts that could be interpreted negatively for Dry-Me.

The Bedwetting Store says to “The Dry-Me bed wetting alarm is a highly effective enuresis alarm that should be near the top of the "value-minded" shopper's list.” We would like to know why the Bedwetting store believes that this alarm is highly effective, considering that is was launched only a few months ago. The Amazon listing says: New for 2013. If there is any concrete data supporting this claim, why doesn’t the Bedwetting Store share this information with the public?

The Bedwetting Store also says “The alarm is small and lightweight and features a plastic clip molded directly on the back of the alarm unit, which clips comfortably at the shoulder area or collar of the child's pajamas.” How small is cmall? How light is light? Why don’t you provide exact weight and dimensions so parents can best determine what they are getting when they spend money on your bedwetting alarm.
The Bedwetting Store does state “Clean sensor with soapy water and small toothbrush every few days to remove urine residue.” How few is few? Why can’t you be precise. If the sensor is not washed, what happens? The sensor will have urine residue is clear from the description and we appreciate the Bedwetting Store in not concealing that fact.

There is no information on the Dry-Me bedwetting alarm link on the Bedwetting Store that provides detailed address on returns and exchange. Is this because the Bedwetting Store has suffered a large number of returns? Looking at
http://urinealarms.com/Wired_Alarm_Chart.html , the warranty is described as 1 months for the alarm and 90 days for the sensor. If this is correct, The Dry-Me bedwetting alarm has a significantly shorter warranty than the DryBuddyEZ bedwetting alarmwhich in turn has a larger warranty than almost all of the wired alarms listed onhttp://urinealarms.com/Wired_Alarm_Chart.html .

The volume of the alarm (set at its maximum, we assume, from the site description) is not provided. This is critical for parents and child in deciding what to purchase. Looking at the picture on the Bedwetting Store site, where the alarm is attached to the shirt above the breast, a 20 cms (8 inches) distance is more reasonable. We all recognize that audible volume drops significantly as the device is moved away from the ear. Why not provide this volume in dBA at 20 cms so the buyer has a more realistic understanding of the volume that will be heard during use?

Bedwetting Store claims “the alarm also lights up when urine is detected, making it easy to locate in the dark.” Didn’t you just put in your description that the alarm unit is clipped to the outside of the t-shirt? Then why does a child have to find it when they wake up? Is the Bedwetting Store suggesting that the alarm falls off at night? There have been a number of complaints suggesting that. Maybe the Bedwetting Store is reinforcing the truth that the clip attachment on this alarm is not secure and breaks. That is why a child needs to find it in the dark.

In conclusion, the Dry-Men bedwetting alarm sold at the Bedwetting Store is not such a good value for money after all. The Bedwetting Store omits relevant information about the product and leaves it to the users mind to imagine what they will get when they purchase it.

To truly compare Malem with all relevant competitors in today’s marketplace, look at http://www.urinealarms.com/Wired_Alarm_Chart.html . This is the most comprehensive set of data and facts about bedwetting alarms that we have seen. Malem does not fare well. This explains why Malem and the Bedwetting Store resort to deceit and propaganda to promote the Malem bedwetting alarm!

The Bedwetting Store is the only seller who advertises and continues to sell the Malem Bedwetting Alarm. All other sellers have either realized the truth about the Malem Bedwetting Alarm or have abandoned it, but the Bedwetting Store continues its deceit.
